🌍 About Me

Be Lost in the World

Hi, I’m Georgiana – the traveller, planner, foodie, and curious soul behind Be Lost in the World.

I’m a millennial who believes that travel is more than just snapping photos in front of landmarks. For me, it’s about soaking up a culture’s heartbeat – the smells from a street food stall, the quiet charm of a side street no guidebook mentions, or the hidden view you find after wandering off the beaten path.

I plan every detail of my trips (seriously, spreadsheets and all!) but I also leave space for serendipity – because sometimes the best stories happen when you wander without a map.

✈️ What drives my travels

  • Cultures & hidden gems – I want to experience a place, not just see it. I’m always on the lookout for neighbourhood cafés, local traditions, and off-the-radar experiences.

  • Comfort with a touch of luxury – Think boutique hotels, stunning rooftop views, and memorable meals that won’t break the bank but still feel special.

  • Food first – From market snacks to family-run restaurants, my journeys are planned as much around flavours as around sights.

  • Personal stories – Each trip has its own narrative: the people I meet, the small adventures, the lessons I bring back.

📝 What you’ll find on Be Lost in the World

I created this space as a blend of magazine-style travel inspiration and personal storytelling. You’ll find:

  • Complete travel guides (because I’m organised like that!)

  • Food and cultural highlights from every destination

  • Honest tips from my own experiences – including what worked, what didn’t, and what I’d do differently next time

Whether you’re planning your first trip abroad, searching for hidden corners of a popular city, or just love travelling from your sofa, I want this blog to feel like a friend sharing insider tips with you.

So, welcome to my corner of the internet. Let’s get lost in the world together. 🌎✨
